The Genomic Expression Laboratory is a multidisciplinary group in bioinformatics and computational biology, led by Ana Conesa at I2SysBio. Our lab develops statistical methods and bioinformatics tools for the integration of omics data and the analysis third-generation sequencing data.

Would you be interested in doing an internship or your Bachelor’s or Master’s project with us? Within our research lines, some possible projects are:
SQANTI3 (transcriptome analysis with third-generation sequencing)
- SQ-quantification: Methods for quantifying isoform expression with PacBio and Nanopore data.
- SQ-variants: Integration of relevant genomic variants into the quality control and functional interpretation of isoforms obtained with PacBio sequencing.
- SQ-TUSCO: Evaluation of technical degradation patterns in long-read transcriptome sequencing data.

4. IsoAnnot-RBP: Annotation of RNA-binding protein (RBP) sites in long-read sequencing data.
5. IsoAnnot-NLS: Development of machine learning methods for evaluating nuclear localization signals (NLS) present in RNA transcripts.Spatial transcriptomics: Development of long-read sequencing analysis methods in the context of spatial transcriptomics.
