BPA/DEANN Train the Trainer Workshop Overview:
This three day workshop covers Train the Trainer activities developed by the Best Practice and eScience team at TGAC. Designed to improve the skills for delivering successful hands-on training, this workshop covers effective teaching methods, workshop planning and current developments in training with Drs Schneider and Angiolini in Day 1. Day 2 follows a condensed version of ‘de novo Assembly’ training and Day 3 consolidates and allows time to reflect on the learning from the training skills development, enabling delegates to apply this learning to the course content and adapt their own version of this crucial training topic.
To ensure the long-term impact of the programme, two content experts, Bernardo Clavijo and Gonzalo Garcia Accinelli (TGAC), will present the condensed de novo assembly material. This will allow the trainers to focus on monitoring Best Practice in training, capturing the impact of training and collection of long-term feedback.
Would you like to work on Best Practice in Biosciences? Please get in touch with Dr Vicky Schneider or Dr Emily Angiolini to discuss.
Registration details:
This workshop is for invited participants from Bioplatforms Australia Ltd, plus there are two bursaries of €750 available for DEANNmembers upon application and successful selection to be used to cover registration and to put towards travel and/or accommodation as appropriate. For more information and to apply, please contact Dr Emily Angiolini.
